Meet Our Photographers
Karen Halbert Photography
I am a mom of teens, who used to be messy, loud, toddler boys. Bring me your big personalities, your shy little ones, and your imperfect family and I'll show you the love and magic that makes your family unique through photos.
When your kids are little, it feels like it will last forever. The sticky hands, the smushy kisses, the endless giggles, the long nights...it seems like time is standing still. But time is a thief, and it doesn't stand still at all. When you blink, they will be 12, and when you blink again, those babies will be 18.
Frozen time is your most valuable possession. Whether you are a digital scrapbooker or love prints on your walls, I'm here to make sure you have those beautiful, tangible memories preserved, to revisit over and over. Let's capture the snuggles and the love of your family before it grows into a new look, and then let's capture it again. Each age, each moment, deserves to be celebrated: the brand new baby, the wide eyed toddler, the 7 yr old with the snaggleteeth, & middle schooler with her new sense of style, and the senior as he prepares to start his next journey. Let's capture the beautiful mess of a life you have created today.
ELIZABETH CLEMENTS PHOTOGRAPHY
My husband and I have lived in middle Tennessee since 2005, which at this point practically counts us as natives!
I honestly kind of fell into having a business. I was a 4th grade teacher for several years when, due to family circumstances, it was time for me to stay home with our oldest. I'd gotten my first "real" DSLR camera earlier that year (2009).
Starting a photo-a-day project in 2010 was definitely a turning point because it was helping me get those reps while also building some awareness among friends of my growing skill. I found a photography class online one season, and then I practiced when my little guy was awake (and asleep-- sleeping babies are dreamy!) My first photos for clients were in 2011. I went from never dreaming of starting a business into having to research insurance and business licenses and websites. One thing about photography and running a business is that there is always something to learn!
I've always known that kids are my jam. When I'm not working, I'm volunteering weekly at my kids' schools and also teaching in a preschool Bible study. I always assumed I'd be returning to the classroom in some form or fashion, but this business has provided me a totally different path. It has been such an unexpected gift.

- I’m originally from Norfolk, VA (proud Navy brat)
- I took photography courses at the University of Tennessee, leaving my career with the federal government to pursue my dreams
- I’m an extroverted enneagram 2w3 in absolutely every way imaginable
- I am a proud mama and step-mama to four remarkable kiddos ages 16, 15, 12, and 8
- I have an entire zoo at home- two German shepherds, two cats, four fish (in a TARDIS fish tank), and one beautiful corn snake named Sneak for his ever-present insistence on finding a weak spot in his habitat
- I got my first tattoo at 23 and I’ve been collecting “wearable art” as I like to call it ever since
- My business was named for four people: Rachel Alura (myself), Wesley Wayne (my darling husband), and my maternal grandparents- Alura and Wayne. The love and commitment they poured out unto both each other and to the world around them inspires me every single day.
- My favorite thing in the world is to make people feel seen, valued, and loved.
